OUR STORY

Northeast Chronicles was founded in 2025 with a singular vision: to bridge the world with the untold stories of Northeast India, a region known for its vibrant cultures, ancient traditions, and breathtaking natural beauty. Often overlooked by mainstream media, Northeast India remains one of the most culturally diverse and visually rich regions in Asia.

Comprising seven states (Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya), this enchanting region is home to over 200 indigenous tribes. Each tribe has distinct languages, customs, and artistic traditions. Learn more about the region https://www.northeasttourism.in/

WHAT WE DO

Northeast Chronicles specializes in three core areas that define our unique approach to storytelling. Our dedicated team of researchers and photographers travel deep into the region’s heartland, documenting festivals, traditions, and daily life with unwavering respect and authenticity. Our visual archives capture the soul of Northeast India, from Assam’s golden tea estates to Arunachal Pradesh’s snow-capped mountains.

We work closely with local communities to ensure their stories are told with dignity and accuracy, creating a foundation of trust that enables us to capture genuine moments and preserve cultural heritage.

Through stunning photography and immersive storytelling, Northeast Chronicles brings the region’s most captivating moments to life. Our visual narratives showcase everything from intricate traditional handicrafts and authentic regional cuisine to remarkable architectural marvels and breathtaking natural landscapes. Each story we tell is carefully crafted to transport our audience into the heart of Northeast India’s diverse cultural tapestry.

From the iconic Hornbill Festival  to lesser-known tribal celebrations, we bring these experiences to the world with deep cultural sensitivity.

Beyond documentation, we actively collaborate with local artisans, tribal elders, and community leaders to create content that not only entertains but also supports sustainable tourism and cultural preservation throughout Northeast India.

This partnership approach ensures that our work contributes meaningfully to the communities we feature while fostering economic opportunities and cultural continuity for future generations.

We work hand-in-hand with local artisans, tribal elders, and cultural leaders across Northeast India.

Their knowledge and trust are key to telling genuine stories and preserving intangible heritage for future generations.

Through partnerships with weaving cooperatives in Nagaland, bamboo artisans in Tripura, and pottery experts in Manipur, we ensure that traditional knowledge systems remain alive and economically viable.
